Andrew said this was a radio show..
On the way to work this morning Live 105 played flashbacks from the 90's, the difference being that they played all the songs that would normally never make it to the radio. Admittedly, I have a few favorite 90's one hit wonders like:
Superdrag- Who Sucked Out The Feeling
Lucious Jackson- Naked Eye
Stereo MCs- Connected
Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth
But the one thing that they played on my fifteen minute drive that caused me to giggle uncontrollably was The Crash Test Dummies' MMM MMM MMM.
How did I not find that funny in junior high? It is the most ridiculous song that I have ever heard. I mean for one thing it's Canadian, and most things from Canada are absurd, like Kevin MacDonald and provinces. The lead voice sounds a bit RETARDED in a Wesley Willis sort of way. Lyrically, the song takes its subject matter way too seriously. I bet if I looked back at all of the music I listened to as a kinder I would probably find most of it completely hilarious. Take Michael and Janet Jackson's epic cry for injustice Scream for instance..I probably looped it more times than I would like to admit.
I forget that there is an overall point to this argument, but I am having an Indian buffet coma and unlimited feeding will do that to you, in addition to not making you want to work.
I guess for the meaty, juicy, and kebab-y portion of this entry, I met my boyfriend's mother and things went well. We ate Kurdish food in the middle of Menlo Park and she told me horror stories from wannabe gangsters in Podunk, Wisconsin (sorry Jess).
I am also afraid that ER has sucked me in because of the Abby and Luka drama (Could their undying love be in jeopardy due to his Yugo ties? Throw me a bone, TV!). I was worried that this would happen, but seriously ER, its not dramatic when you keep annoying bystanders in the room. Kerry Weaver would have never put up with that shit.
